Care For The Chest

CARE FOR THE CHEST

We normally pay far less attention to the chest than to the face, for example. But the skin on the neck and chest is thinner, more sensitive and susceptible to signs of aging. We usually begin to be aware at an older age of how important care for the chest is. As we get older wrinkles appear on the skin and the chest starts to get covered with pigment spots. We can achieve a great positive effect through regular care and modern methods. At Veramedica we use our own “V Application” method to rejuvenate the neck and chest.

V Application
This is a method developed by Dr. Věra Terzijská in the application of filling materials based on cellular hyaluronic acid in the area of the neck and chest using a cannula. Unlike the existing commonly used method of mesotherapy, this effect lasts for one year and all that is required is one or two courses at most (depending on the condition of the skin and age). Several courses are required of mesotherapy to achieve the best results and application involves many fine punctures by ultra thin needles into the middle layers of the skin. Only a minimum of cannula punctures (depending on the extent) is required after the puncture site has been anaesthetised. A small bruise appears after application which disappears after a few days. Besides filling out wrinkles “V Application” naturally stimulates the formation of collagen and new cells resulting in fibrotization, and the skin tightens and moderately deep wrinkles are smoothed out. The application of hyaluronic acid, which is an important skin construction element, leads to intensive hydration and subsequent filling out and tightening of the skin.

Chemical peels
Chemical peels are a conventional form of treatment used in corrective dermatology. They are performed not only on the face, but also on the neck and chest. The aim of this method is to remove dead surface skin particles, revive, rejuvenate, clear up the skin and prevent hyperpigmentation. Treatment is painless and involves the even application of fruit acid to the face. After a chemical peel the skin is softer and more even in colour. Pores are closed and the skin becomes brighter. Chemical peels use acids such as glycolic, lactic acid or trichloroacetic acid which is commonly found in tomatoes, sugar cane or yogurt.

Photorejuvenation
Photorejuvenation is an effective aid or non-invasive laser rejuvenation and a method of tightening the skin. Photorejuvenation intensively stimulates the regenerative processes in connective tissue which continue for a further 3 months after the end of therapy. This results in the significant smoothing out and softening of the skin. Photorejuvenation is very kind and painless and is performed in contact cooling gel. During treatment you will feel intensive warming of the skin. Several courses of treatment are required for a better result.

Fractional lasers
A current trend are fractional lasers which are a non-invasive method of rejuvenation. This procedure turns back the time by several years. It removes small fine wrinkles, tightens the skin, which takes on a more youthful look, and improves skin tone. The procedure is carried out about once a year. In principle this is an application of laser beams to surface or middle layers of the skin. Thanks to this, regenerative processes are activated in the skin, and increased formation of collagen occurs without the need of intervention in the deeper skin layers as was the case when using older types of lasers. While weepy distinctive scabs remained for up to fourteen days after treatment and reddening of the skin does not subside until after three months, with a fractional laser there is considerably quicker healing within a week. The actual procedure is virtually painless and the laser beam only causes a stinging feeling. Then the patient feels burning which lasts about an hour or two during which time we cool the skin. An accompanying effect is strong reddening which lasts two to three days. Then the skin peels for two to three days. Obviously each case is individual.

Radiofrequency is a method of surface and deep treatment of the skin and hypodermis. Through radiofrequency energy, which penetrates deep into the skin and acts directly on collagen fibres, skin acquires a youthful look and regains its firmness and elasticity after one course of treatment. The increased temperature in the lower skin layers activates and stimulates the cells producing collagen. Treatment is totally painless and does not require anaesthesia or preparation. Sensitive individuals may experience mild painful (stinging). Given that the surface part of the skin is not damaged in any way, the patient can immediately continue to live normally. An effect is already discernable after one course of treatment and there is a long-lasting result.
