PLASMA THERAPY
The process of aging cannot be stopped. However new methods can delay aging a little. Plasma therapy is a unique method that uses the “sources” of our body and is unquestionably one of the most effective.
Plasma therapy or Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) is a modern and very gentle method of anti-aging medicine, which uses plasma taken from your own blood for rejuvenation. Blood plasma contains proteins and platelets with a greater quantity of growth factors that naturally support the revitalising and regenerative processes of cells. The exceptional nature of this procedure lies in the use of the unique Plus DNA activator which provides maximum stimulation of the activity of most growth factors in the plasma and enhances its regenerative effect. The result of the treatment can be even more pronounced if hyaluronic acid is added.
Use
In aesthetic dermatology the application of your own enriched plasma is used to reduce facial wrinkles, particularly in the area of radial upper lip wrinkles, the chin, fine wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead and glabella (area of the forehead above the bridge of the nose between the eyebrows). Besides the face, this method can also be used to rejuvenate the skin on the neck, chest and back of the hands. Plasma therapy can also help in skin regeneration processes after various procedures (laser, chemical peels, etc.). A further indication is the correction of all types of scars and treatment of chronic wounds.
Course of the procedure
Given that the blood used is your own, the procedure is as safe as possible and the entire process from the collection to the processing of the blood plasma takes place in the surgery. About 8-16 ml of blood is collected depending on the amount of plasma required for treatment. The outpatient treatment lasts from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the treated area. Firstly the patient’s blood is collected in a special set and a centrifuge separates the blood plasma. It contains the body’s own growth factors, platelets, white blood cells and stem cells that regenerate the skin and naturally trigger the processes of rejuvenation.
Subsequently the plasma is mixed with the activator and sometimes with the hyaluronic acid. The physician then applies the treated plasma gently to the skin with a fine needle or cannulas (depending on the extent and site of treatment).
How long does the result last?
The procedure should be applied in three doses at a 14 to 20 day interval between individual sessions. If this procedure is maintained, there should be a visible result in 2 – 3 weeks and will last 8 – 12 months depending on the type of complexion, condition of the skin and the patient’s general lifestyle of course.
Advantages
In view of the fact your own blood will be applied, the risk of complications is really slim and the possibility of intolerance is reduced. The application induces tissue regeneration and rejuvenation. Another advantage is quick healing and no fibrotic reaction which may arise in standard pharmaceutically produced substances. The easy, safe preparation and comfortable quick application are certainly a clear advantage for the client. You can continue with your normal activities the next day. The tiny skin bruises and reddening of the skin can be covered with makeup, there tends to be no large swelling, infectious complications are rare if sterility is maintained and there is minimum pain after the procedure.
